Meadow

he months that had gone by, weren’t as exciting as I had thought they would be. But then again, I hadn’t tried to do much, just went back and forth between the meadows and the falls, keeping myself occupied with the sights and sounds. I wasn’t prepared to head towards the commons, nor towards the individual islands. The meadows were beginning to become my favorite to spend most of my days, the long stretches of luscious grasses that spread out before me, but the falls, it was a place I went when I wanted to settle back into myself, center, if you will.

he falls is where I had spend the night previously, so today, I was wandering the meadows. I was headed towards the edge of the meadow where the river meets the ocean. It was a peaceful area, somewhere I liked going once in a while. Spring was upon us, and with it came new life, to most at least. I wasn’t planning on bringing life into the world for quite a long time, but then again, plans end up changing, don’t they?

ignored the thoughts that started running through my mind about foals, because they were the least of my concern. I reached the edge of the meadow, where the entrance of the river was off to my right, and the beach was in front of me. I watched the waves, listening to the water as it ebbed and flowed through the river. It was a strange area, but it was fun to watch the water, and sometimes you’d see fish swimming into the mouth of the river. It was fun, and with the sun that bright and high in the sky, it was beautiful.

atching the water, I let my worries float away, ignoring the rest of the world, and just…listening.
