Mother Goose is just a fairy-tale

Something told the light draft beast that Liland and his kin were not going to be coming back. He didn't have those details for truth, but it was something he felt inside. It was like an inkling of knowledge. It was something that didn't go away and it troubled him. Why had Liland up and left? Why had his kin followed him so quickly and readily? Goose may never have those answers but one thing was for certain; they had to move forward. Perhaps they would not forget the others, but they could move past this. They must to make a home and survive in life. If you dwelled on the return of those whom have left, you'd lead a pretty boring life to be honest.

Well met Zharko. The tone is rich but it is kind. His eyes shimmer with compassion and hope. There is no room for dwelling in the past here. He had no mind to turn his home into something of a lonely or bitter place. There is no room for bitter here. Not as far as Goose is concerned. This younger lad didn't seem to be one for much on words. That was okay though. Goose was a stranger to him, perhaps he was merely shy and uncertain? Perhaps he'd become more social with time. One could only wonder really and hope right?

It is the other stallion who spoke then. Goose listened intently and a smile found his lips. Of course the others were welcome. Goose was not one to kick those from his new found home. He thought they had as much a right as long as they were respectful and kind to one another. Protection was welcomed indeed. Numbers were great when you had a new home. Numbers meant you were neither alone or bored. Goose was not big on being a social butterfly, but he was neither a recluse in this world. He merely had a moment here and there where he'd wish to be left alone. Didn't everyone get those moments here and there? Well met then Cinnamon.

There is a pause as he catches a breather and takes in what else is said by Cinnamon. A frown found his lips then and a confusion stained those eyes of his. I cannot say that I do. It was so abrupt it seems. His kin seemed to have left with him. It is confusing that is sure. Troubling but I've no answers more than anyone else unfortunately. That was true enough. He hadn't a clue and was not sure that anyone else would either. More than likely not. Cinnamon didn't seem to have any ideas on that matter of where Liland had gone. It was merely odd; out of place. Out of character if you thought about it. Cinnamon brought to attention his deal with Liland then. A smile returns to the draft's lips.

I have no qualms with that Cinnamon. You are still welcome here in the Bay. He pauses as he looks between the two and that expression is still gentle. You both are welcome here. Letting Zharko know that he could too call this a home if he chose to remain.
