It felt like years had passed since N.asa came to the Desert. But in truth, it had only been weeks. Time seemed to pass so quickly that she couldn't keep up. The air was warm in the early morning dawn. N.asa approached the oasis quietly as not to disturb those around. She bent her slender neck to the cool waters drinking heartily. Her ears perked as a few birds chirped in the distance. Deep green eyes watched the sky change from deep ebony, to navy, to a palette of pastel colors. She sighed deeply, breathing in solitude. She had not had much time to really mingle with those of the Desert. She was mostly interested in speaking to Cain, learning more about his past and where he hoped his herd would go from here. In the silence, N.asa reflected on herself. She had grown comfortable in the Desert, making more efforts to explore and not be so standoffish but it was still a learning curve. She wanted to break from the shell she had so carefully nestled herself in. Frankly, she just wanted to divulge all the gut-wretching things she'd been keeping to herself for years. |
