What you want ain't always what you need Open

She missed the Dunes so sometimes she looks at it from a far. She climbs a steep hill of hard sand and watches the new herd of the Dunes move about and do their herd things. The smells that come from across the sands were unfamiliar. Those horses were strangers, but she feels inclined to meet them. She feels inclined to make it back to her birth home.

Mother didn’t usually let her go very far, but today she takes advantage of her sleeping dam. Libra was nestled up to her baby brother in a deep sleep that gave the restless filly an idea. Scarecrow was not around (probably dealing with the new owner of the Desert situation) so it was easy for her to sneak away. Scorpio strides down the hill, farther than she has gone in since she first traveled to the Desert. She moves closer and closer to the Dunes until she feels the softness of the sand under her hooves. She enjoyed the feel of the sand here better than the Desert. She knew she couldn’t stay long so she makes it as far as she can before someone spots her. "Almost the same as I left it," she whispers as brown eyes stare at the horse in the distance looking back at her.

Her varnish head points towards the stranger as she calls to the horse. She could not tell from this far away if the horse was female or male, but she did understand there was no escaping them. If this happened to be the territory stallion, he could chase her out or corral her to stay. The unforeseen possibility was that all he would to do was talk to the young filly in his home.
