live life to the fullest

She was happy for him that he found his cousin but a part of her was sad that she didn't get to help him like she'd wanted to. Oh well, the important part was that she was found, right? Creed was almost afraid to ask if his cousin was okay since obviously that would ruin everything if she wasn't but luckily Roheryn didn't hesitate to tell her his cousin was okay now. A brow lifted in question at his use of the word "now," wondering at why she might not have been at first, but Creed decided to let it go. After all, she didn't know anything about it or know his cousin so maybe it wasn't her business anyway. She let out a breath of relief and smiled. "I'm glad to hear it." She said and her eyes twinkled with genuine happiness. At least he didn't have that burden on his shoulders anymore. When he told her what he felt, she was speechless. She'd never had someone tell her something so openly before, especially about their feelings toward her. Creed had never known love or affection besides that of her parents. She had friends here in Evren, Persephone, and Maeve, but it wasn't the same kind she would get from a stallion.

Roheryn made her feel things she didn't even know how to put a name to. He always had. She never had a fighting bone in her body till he was threatened by that blue roan during the war. Creed didn't hesitate to go to his aide because she knew in her heart that she didn't want to anything to happen to him. She felt sure she would die if anything did. Luckily, they'd gotten off pretty easy during that fight but she had a new kind of empty feeling every time Roheryn left after that. She ached to be with him and cursed the water every time it stopped her from doing just that. Having someone admit such feelings to you was one thing but then to have to voice your own back to them? It seemed nearly impossible. Creed couldn't even look at him at first, for fear that she'd choke up and not be able to get the words out. She was sure he was probably questioning at this point, wondering if she didn't feel the same and the idea only made her chest tighten with nerves. No, she had to say it. He had to know!

She let her body do the talking at first, leaning into him as much to pull strength from his solid form as to let him know before she could find her words how much she trusted him. And then she let her voice come out and thankfully, it didn't fail her in getting out what she wanted him to know. When he suddenly pulled back, she gasped in surprise, wondering if she said something wrong. But as he kicked in the water, she found herself laughing as he told her to trust him. She smiled and nodded, her brown eyes twinkling with longing. "You have it." She assured him. He spoke of the water and she pricked her ears to listen. He said it was an opportunity. Looking out into the waves, she swallowed before forcing her gaze back to his. "I want that, I do. I want to meet your herd. I want a family. Will you...will you stay close?" Her ears laid back, fear glistening in the corners of her eyes as she looked again at the darkness of the water beyond the shore.

Taking a breath, she stepped further into the water, closer to him. Her body trembled as she inhaled, willing herself to face her fears and make this work.
