the deeper the sorrow Kamekaze/Open

He compliments her with a twinkle in his eyes which causes her heart to flutter and her lashes to bat flirtishly. She has never really talked to another male before, but it was becoming anything but boring. Her head tilts as he explains himself and mentions he was an outsider. ”You’re a member of the herd so how are you an outsider?” She was curious to understand what he meant by that. Sure, she did not interact hardly at all with the other members of the Peak, but she didn’t feel like an outsider. Maybe that was because she was a female in a female run herd, but she was curious to know why he felt left out.

She was born in the Peak on a mountainside surrounded by the support of other mares in the herd. She was eager to tell him all about her birth place. Patience was proud of where she came from even though she was bored after two years of living there. Mother says it was natural to feel this way sometimes, especially with her age. She couldn’t stop the giggles that unleash at his answer of the mare run herd. She thinks it was funny and she almost wants to take him there just to see his reaction to all the mares there. Though she decides her mother might be angry at her for bringing home some random stallion especially while she was searching for her own place in the world.

She changed the subject to a promise for adventure. They could explore his current home or somewhere new altogether. Her two-toned tail flicks with anticipation as he answers. Her eyes roll at his first question. He mentioned he wouldn’t kidnap her, but even the mention of it was weird. The young mare had never even given that a thought or considered it a possibility. She was going to make some speech about how nice he seemed, but that might make this meeting creepy. If he was going to be her travel partner this didn’t need to be made awkward. A smile arose on her lips when he finally shrugs and moves on. Kamekaze turns towards the sea and asks her where they should go first.

She shrugs and brings herself to stand next to him. ”Let’s just swim and see where we end up?” It sounded like such fun to blindly just go somewhere! Before he could answer, she was leaping into the water. The grulla mare swims alongside her companion until she spots the first beach on the horizon. She has no idea where they were as she brings her friend to the Ridge’s shore, but she had no hesitation and no sense of danger. All she knew was she wasn’t about to be bored exploring a new place. The young mare shakes her coat free of the ocean’s salt before turning to Kamekaze with a large grin. ”Are you ready to explore?” She giggles before turning and dashing off towards the trees.
