The sounds of hoof beats greeted her ears as the painted mare turned her gaze on the chestnut mare approaching. Her coat was as red as Valka's, but she was definitely a lot bigger than Valka. In fact, she probably made Medusa herself look like a pony in comparison. Medusa scowled, but tried not to look too slighted as she turned to watch the mare approach. Her nostrils flared and she was surprised to find the faint scent of Ironclad on the mare's coat, but it was mixed with the mainland and...another stallion. Intrigued, Medusa pricked her ears at the mare and stepped closer. The mare looked like she'd been through the ringer. Her coat was not cared for and she had a distressed look about her that had the younger mare's features softening a little in concern. What had happened? At the mare's first words, though, Medusa only had more questions. She named the two fillies Ironclad had just taken to the cove for safety.

Why didn't she knew where they were going if one of them was her daughter? Did Ironclad take them without telling her? Was she away at the time? But the mare looked worried enough so Medusa snorted and decided to hold her tongue, at least for now. "The cove. He said they'd be safe there. He looked worried about something." Her gaze swept the red mare in calculation before she smirked a little. "I'm guessing you might be the answer to that. What happened to you?" She took in the stallion's scent again and cringed. "Were you taken? Who did this to you?" A new anger erupted in her eyes, wishing vengeance on all the enemies of her herd members. She would rain blood on the islands for any who dared to touch the horses of the inlet.
