The mare looked so happy as she approached, as if the very air was pleasing to her. The peaceful expression on her face made Medusa envious in the moment. How nice it must be not to worry. She couldn't shut her mind off for the life of her. When the mare finally did look her way, she had a sweet smile and a friendly disposition. Medusa felt hope flood her body as she tried to relax more and give off an air of friendliness herself. Perhaps she could make sure this encounter didn't crash and burn like her last one. The gray mare gave a greeting and she dipped her head in response. Everything about this female screamed shy and self confident. It reminded her of Kvothe a little and she felt her heart tighten at troubled thoughts of the red Fresian and what she might be up to right now.

The mare used strange words before giving her name as Areal and Medusa tilted her head in question, ears pricked curiously as she responded. "A pleasure, Arael. Do you mind if I ask who is Etheria? I've just never heard the phrase before." She was never good at not speaking her mind. She didn't want to come off rude or offensive. She was just curious of the traditions or culture that might lead one to speak of such a person or horse or thing. It was fascinating and she had to know more. Knowledge was power, as her mother often told her growing up.

At her question, the palomino seemed to think for a moment before she admitted she should have introduced herself sooner. She used to live on the Shore and Ironclad asked her to come here. Medusa nodded in acknowledgement. "I see. There's nothing wrong with taking in the surroundings before you meet the horses in them. One must feel comfortable to call a place a home." It sounded right when she said it. The mare seemed to think only happy thoughts of Ironclad, her face lit with a kind of whimsy energy that made the painted mare happy to see. Ironclad needed more loyalty like she had for him. Kvothe was too worried about her unborn child and Lakota too caught up in thoughts of freedom. She worried that they wouldn't be with the Inlet much longer and Ironclad would be desolate, thinking himself a failure for losing them.

Then she'd have to pick up the pieces and urge him on. That's what a Queen did, right? When Arael asked her a question, she shook her head. "Not extremely long. I was betrothed to him as yearling but my rebellious nature sent me away for a time before I came back to him and the Inlet only a few months ago. I'm still trying to learn my place here with the other herd members. Got any advice?" She added with a small smirk.
