Persephone’s smile warmed with fondness as Ryder spoke of his father. It had been too long since she had seen Ruger, it was nice to have an update. She made a mental note to visit him soon, she had been remiss in maintaining her connections outside the Forest as of late. She had, perhaps, been too content in her little bubble.

“That is good to hear, I am pleased for him,” she replied.

The conversation turned then to Ryder’s original purpose for his visit, however. Persephone nodded solemnly as he spoke, disappointed that she couldn’t offer more help. He seemed like an honest young man, and he came from good stock. She considered the names and descriptions he had given her, committing them to memory for future reference.

“I’m sorry I couldn’t be more use to you, I hope they’re not in any kind of trouble. I’m planning to make some visits around Luthien, and hopefully other islands too, soon – perhaps I can ask about them, see if anyone else has any information that might be helpful,” she said, tilting her head as she waited for Ryder’s reaction.

If there was a way that she could help a good-natured neighbour, she would.

“Are you still staying in the Prairie, if I hear anything about them?”
