She watched the sting of her lashing out mar that adorable face. For a moment, albeit a brief moment, she flicker of realization crosses her face but it is quickly dashed by her renewed anger. She wanted to forgive his misgivings. She truly did. But she didn't know how to relent the past 18+ months of hurt she had felt. Her gaze reverts to her her children. Her children. She couldn't deny Seri seeing Fearghas. It was not her place to explain to their child the whys of why he had abandoned them in the Peak.
"I met Verrat when you abandoned me in the Peak." She began, her gaze distant. A gentle breeze wafted her direction and she could smell Varanduil on him. While she had been wallowing in her guilt over Fortis, Fearghas had been lying with Cullen's trinket. "I didn't come to the realization of who he was until later on. Not that it mattered." She wanted to hurl all the hurt she'd felt for months at him. She wanted him to wallow in her pain. "You left me." It slips like venom from her tongue. "You left me when I needed you. And even worse, you left me, you left Seri, and you left us but wasted no time shacking up with him." Her eyes narrowed.
Seri looked at her mother forlorn, confused. In the time that they had been alone, Aallotar had never once openly spoke about her father in a negative way. But she knew their parting wasn't normal. She knew that it had nearly broke her mother when it happened. She didn't understand why, and she probably wouldn't for a long time but she trailed her eyes to the stallion before her. Her father. "Why did you leave me?" The tension is thick between them, caught between Seri's feelings of confusion and Aallotar's venomous gaze.
