Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

You’re not Salinger. Get over it. azizi/any

Frey felt something in his chest, something strange. It was something he couldn’t place… resentment rose to the top of the heap, though. The thoughts he was having, the feelings towards Tyr. All of it was terrible, strange. His father yet, what was their relationship? Frey held a hurt, a bitterness. There was really some nerve in that man, coming back and attempting to take over the Boss’s position. What was it that Tyr had to offer, after all? What could he do that Rade could not? What could he do that Frey could not?

The colt didn’t know. What he lacked in experience, he made up for in heart. He made up for it in grit. There was a lot of tenacity in the young man, and that wouldn’t soon stop. Still, somewhere in the back of his mind, he considered venturing out to see Zevulun (and his sons) once more. It was a curiosity that would bring him back to the man that had been so kind. He thinks, too, of Pippin-- the stallion that he’d attempt to rescue from a cold winter’s day in the Commons. Part of Frey wanted to save them all.

He’d put the offer out-- anyone who wanted to hear about his bid for General, anyone who wanted to take the time, could meet with him. He stood on the beach, gaze soft over the sea. There was something about the very act of being on his own at the edge of the universe… he could only hope that he wouldn’t be on his own for long. Maybe someone would take Frey up on his offer after all.
