Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

turn men into beasts

Tyr stood alone among the vines and foliage of his home. His mind wrapped in chaos to the losses the Lagoon had recently been wounded with. Or rather, he had been wounded with. Frey had made his own demise. It was no surprise when the Harbor woman had come calling for the trouble his son had constantly been causing. But Grizel? What did the Bay stallion want with her? She was innocent, and after his last scuffle with the tiny frozen hearted mare, he had left the Tinuvel herd alone. What was the point of being good, if it wasn’t getting him the peace they all wanted in return from the Lagoon men? Tyr was half the mind to just forget this “peace” that they had been seeking, and become the monster they all viewed the Lagoon men to be.

Suddenly, a scent intruded into his home that did not belong. A scent he had caught before, but had not disturbed as the Boss had taken care of the matter. After the scuffle with Bacardi, Tyr doubted that Rade would be in the mood this time. He wasn’t particularly in the mood either, but the Peak mare couldn’t be left unattended in the Lagoon else she might get some idea to take something that didn’t belong to her. As if Tyr wanted to lose anything else.

With a harsh snort and a quick snap of his thick tail, the giant moved through the brush with force. He knew he would be loud upon his arrival, but he didn’t care. That was the point. To be the reckoning that would come calling in the name of the brotherhood. Only when he came to face the Peak mare did he stop, having to look down upon her from their size difference alone. His muscles bunched beneath multicolored skin, ready for her to make demands and accusations that Peak mares were customary of doing. It was hard for him to believe that he had tried at one point to get Kvothe to live with the Vulcans. He was glad she had not listened to him.

“I do not have idle time for your games, woman.” Tyr greeted, his voice gruff. Though his ears weren’t entirely pinned, they did rest in a backwards position to show his dislike for the intrusion. “What do you want this time?” Whatever word games Rade had played with the women last time, Tyr would not.
