Guess my question drew a helpful response. Thanks for contributing. Your response tells us he was a troubled individual, not likely affected by blackmail, or suffering from a painful disease and if Dr Kevorkian would have been around, he would have just checked in for a relief cocktail.
Wish there were a lot more story ideas posted here in the TV room, god knows most TV stations could use the outside story ideas since most all TV news is predictable.
My experience on the desk and in the business in general is that because TV news staffs don't do beat reporting, story ideas come from news releases, occasional stories on the internet swiped for local coverage, or simply waiting for the cops and the scanners to tell deskers where to send photog.s
Too bad. Todays content is just a 2 percent quart of news and more weather cutins to fill time between commercials. Replies:
