Boss's Decree

"For every brother you bring to our
midst, you may keep a trinket all to
yourself. She will not be sullied or traded, unless you deem otherwise. But should you bring a mare here without a new brother first, then I will consider her property of the Lagoon as a whole
and do with her as I see fit." - Garmr

Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

You’re not Salinger. Get over it.

Frey genuinely, for a long moment, considers ignoring his father’s call. He tests the thought for a long, long moment. As reclusive as he’d been, he did suppose that he still technically answered to the general. A hierarchy of things. A hierarchy of things, and yet… did Frey really care that much for decorum? He never had. Why should he answer to his father after all?

Though thoughts of angst and rebellion still stirred in his head, Frey does eventually draw from the brackish cold and approach the source of the sound. Was he going to shout at the sooty stallion, just as Rehoboam had? The sting of that interaction was still fresh in his mind, and it plagued his already less than pleasant thoughts. He’d committed to keeping Bell safe, as well as the foal on the way. That wasn’t going to change. Frey also knew that the Lagoon was the only home he’d ever be able to keep, and well, that wasn’t going to change either. A balance. A delicate balance. He’d find it eventually.

He didn’t hurry. Frey takes his sweet time, hoping to minimize just how much he has to be alone with his father. There were conversations they needed to have. Conversations that Frey had been putting off. Especially now that he was about to be a father himself… shit. Yeah, they’d need to talk eventually… despite his not wanting to. When he arrives before the General, he’s alone. There are no words, at least not any that come easily. Instead, he addresses his father with a bit of a grunt, a flick of his head. Clearly, if Tyr was going to call like this, he had something to say. Frey would simply wait.
