How many stations need to carry a local funeral? Must they suck up that much to the cops who give them access and information to most all their sensational local stories? KCTV assuredly would, being on Shawnee Mission Parkway, but one's enough.
Funerals are boring and should be left only for top officials, not line first responders unless several died, like when the 9 firemen died down by the Grandfiew triange in that early SUnday morning deliberate explosion abt 25 yrs ago. Da dont run funerals for KIA soldiers unless your a small town TV station where he's from and the city goes nuts over their favorite son.
Of course revenue's more important than carrying local funerals. I'm not even for half staff statewide flags for one first responder. A dozen murdered school kids or a city flattened by a tornado, that's a different story.
What are you doing trying to shame a TV station? You a cop or just a station worker fm across the street?
