The travels brought me here…

Time had flown by without a care in the world. The summer sun was being traded for the fall chill and the black stallion was working on growing a winter coat. His body was more pushy and he was gaining more muscle with this season from his patrolling, hoping to keep Cromer safe from wandering stallions. Huffing out a breath on his morning journey, Voyager padded through the forest, the home that was given to him by Bacardi as long as he upheld what he had agreed to with the lead stallion. With this home, Voyager planned to build a herd, but his heart had changed on it being large. For this behemoth of a horse, he only wanted two or three mares in his herd. He could love them all equally and never have to worry about them questioning his thoughts with more mares under his station.

Gliding long legs up the shore that resided beside his home, the stallion looked out over the vast water beside him. He had once crossed it, and had actually done so many times at this point. Now though, he never had the urge to cross it again unless he had to defend what was his. Cromer, and anyone else that came into his home would be protected with utmost importance. There was no room for error in his mind with his family. They all deserved the best he could provide and he hoped that he was doing as best he could with Cromer. If he could not even care for her properly, what was saying he could care for others?

Hearing something behind him, Voyager turned to set his amber eyes upon the one so far holding his heart in their hooves. With his name in her whinny, the stallion stops upon the grass covered knoll he was on. Large round hooves shifted so that he was facing the brightly colored Cromer, a gentle smile coloring his lips. Fall was here, but he still stood by what he had said when she arrived all that time ago. She would make the decisions about herself and he would never shy away from helping her if she so needed. Feeling her muzzle against his cheek though, the stallion's eyes closed as he faintly leaned into her touch and warmth. He was thankful that she had stuck around him, knowing he was still learning.

“My darling Cromer.” He finally spoke, her name almost sounding husky thanks to his body being affected by this time of year. Scanning her to make sure she was not injured though, he managed to keep his thoughts pure as she stood before him. “I slept well my dear. How did you?” To voyagers, Cromer would always be his dear. There was no real nickname he could think of for this amazing mare before him. The word beautiful was used far too often and he did not want to sound like every other stallion. Perking his ears though, he let his body relax, his patrolling on hold for now while this angel was before him.
