Though he had no mares of his own, Nico did not intend to take this stallion’s mates. It was not how he wanted to start out his reputation nor was it something his parents would have advised. Especially not amidst an ice storm none of them could control. One day Nico would have to fight for mares, but he had no thought of it today. The cold forces a shiver from his body that he could not control. He quickly notices the others shivering as well. This frigid cold would do no good for any of them. One of the mares with him speaks first to explain the reason they were driven into the Inlet. Nico nods as his eyes catch a glimpse of yet another mare with this stallion.

If it wasn’t for the extreme weather Nico might have asked the stallion just how he got so lucky. It became clearer that he was behind on his mare wooing. By now father probably had so many mates while he still had none. A sigh leaves his lips as his eyes go back to the snowy bay roan as he begins to speak. Nico nods again at the explanation. The calico stallion wonders how the rest of the Inlet the fairing in this weather. Especially his younger nieces and nephews. He was about to speak when the stallion asks if this territory was his followed by a concerning statement about running for their lives. ”Is someone after you? Or do you just mean the weather?”

Hopefully it was just the weather. ”I am not the owner, my sister is, but I am working closely with her to take over here soon.” The exact date wasn’t set yet, but it was nearing. Once this weather settled he could find Parvati to hash out details and speak on the Cove’s drama. ”In the meantime I hope you all don’t mind if I share the space with you. The Inlet isn’t usually this friendly to newcomers.” He chuckles. ”Are you all just passing through?” The Inlet may have just scared off new potential residents. This ice was unforgiving and the cold was enough to stick your bones together.
