The overo's grin broadened as she lightened up little by little, noting the inward twist of her ear and the suggestion of a smirk on her lips. She might not have been pleased to see him at first, but he was already making strides to change that, even if she wanted to pretend otherwise. In truth, this pretense of her being unhappy to see him only made the desire to get to know her stronger, and for one brief moment of clarity - he wondered if that was on purpose on her part - only for the thought to disappear as she teased him.

It didn't matter if it was on purpose, it had worked.

She reached out to exchange breaths as he'd offered and he drank the scent of her in. Apart from the lure of the season clinging to her skin, and the rich dark of the Tinuvel earth, he could not smell Fell. It made him curious as to her situation here, given that he had not yet learned of Fell's new satellite stallions. Was she, too, a visitor? A new arrival? He didn't believe she was a longtime resident - he'd been here often enough poking around that he assumed he would have spotted such a strikingly pretty mare.

Raegar chuckled and bobbed his head, acknowledging her comment as the barb it was supposed to be, without letting it pierce his hide. If she had really thought it was so unpleasant, she would have either left or called out for help. The fact that she had done neither told him all he needed to know about her interest level.

"Want another whiff? You can get as close as you want." He teased, shifting half a step to the side in invitation. Tipping his handsome head, he made a motion back toward the ocean. "Or better yet, you can come back with me to the Badlands of Salem and you can smell it firsthand."

Of course, he didn't really expect her to agree, but the fact that she did not smell of Fell made him want to make the offer anyway. The thought of enticing her away to the Badlands and to his own little herd was appealing, and not just because it was autumn. She was a pretty mare, and her behavior so far had intrigued him with the possibility of a little challenge. Raegar adored his soft sweet Hawa and gentle Teasel, but he also enjoyed sparring with Vitani and Filumena. Having another mare around to keep him on his toes could only be good.
