Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

Anxiety clamored in her brain, as fresh in her veins as the day before, when the stallion began to slowly walk toward her. Vervain's eyes had widened at his movement. Reflexively she sidled two steps away from him as if to get that space back between them. Her brown eyes watched with dread as the mud-slathered man looked in the direction of the trees, as she had done moments before. He knew she was thinking of escape.

As his voice crawled into her dark ears, the maiden froze. She trembled at his warning; the softness of his voice almost scared her more. Vervain watched him warily -- the mud dripping from his body and decidely did not want him any closer -- but she couldn't help glancing back at the trees. What was he calling 'dangerous' out there if not himself? The brindle turned her eyes to him again, fearful but inquisitive as she'd always been. She almost didn't want to know. If she could run, maybe she could get away, but . . .

"W-What's dangerous?"

Vervain
