Oh, you want battle?
I'll give you war.
She was a little spitfire, I would give her that. She didn't even wait for me to introduce myself before bristling, clearly already acquainted with my brethren. Either that or I'd forgotten to clean the mud off my legs again, oops.
I lunged the moment she did, although with just enough of a delay that we did not make contact. I would be more than willing to brawl with her out here in the open if it were not for the likely intervention of the Peak if I didn't get her somewhere safe and quiet fast. My moment of consideration gave her the time to spit out a few condemnations of my brothers and I laughed loudly, thoroughly amused by her spirit.
We were going to have a great time together.
"Good." I smirked, gathering my weight beneath me so I could lunge toward her with a thrust of my powerful hindquarters. "Reluctant and bitey is just the way I like my company."
Grass ripped beneath my hooves as I launched, wanting to body-check her if possible. At the very least, I wanted to be close enough to the little mare that I no longer registered as an annoyance but a threat, and then reached deliberately for the arch of her shoulders.
Regardless of whether she felt my teeth scrape her skin or not, I would seek to keep my body close to hers as I spoke again. "Make you a deal princess." I grinned again, wholly certain of my capabilities to keep her. "You make this easy and I'll help you find whoever the hell Izumi is." I wasn't sure who or what Izumi was, but considering the season and her desperation I could make a fairly informed guess that it was her child. "But if you don't?" My mind flickered to the bargain I'd tried to offer the mare in the Inlet before focusing back on the little splashy mare.
"Then I guess Izumi will just have to figure it out by themselves." I tried to shove into her again, wanting to throw my weight around more. "Maybe one of my brothers will find her after all." I finished with a waggle of my eyebrows.
