he black stallion had not even noticed he had been followed. His ming was so locked on his mission that it was only her cry after the bear came charging and his fear kicked in for him to realize. It had his eyes flicking over to the mare, the crimson orbs blazing with fear and a touch of anger as he pivoted on his hind legs. Muscles flexed and tested themselves against his skin as he turned upon the damp Bay soil. He needed to move, but his body was not entirely working the way he needed it to. The slow movements made his mind run in circles and the whites of his eyes to be on full display as he gave a grunt and a faint cry.
Trembling, Lucifer finally had himself shifted enough to chase after the mare. Her commanding voice that he had perceived as a cry finally entered his brain through the fog. His muscled body moved after her, his ears tucking tight to his pole. Normally Lucifer was the one running something off, but now he was following a mare of all things away from where he currently found himself terrified. It made his mind swirl even more, but there was no hatred in his chest at that moment. The black beast was truly and utterly terrified, something he had never once fully experienced.
Hearing the charging feet behind him and the lumbering body, Lucifer held in a faint cry as he moved to be as close to the mare as possible. His left shoulder was close to her hip, keeping him near her while she led them away from the mangled and slowly fading body behind them. The beast's fire light gaze was locked on the pale mare, but he was more in the frame of mind to push her a bit harder, wanting to escape far faster than his own size would allow him. With his panting breaths though, Lucifer followed this mare like she was his lifeline, his mind stuck finally on the filly he had to make sure to be alive enough to make it back to.
