GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors

“I don’t believe you do,” said Zevulun coldly, having been watching his daughter from afar but keeping himself from intercepting her path. It wasn’t until he caught sight of the strange painted stallion moving for her that he charged forward. He was limping somewhat, given his recent battle against the large stallion from Atlantis, but he’d been successful there and he was determined to be successful here, too.

“Go back to wherever you came from. My children choose where they live of their own accord. You’re unwelcome here.” Despite the fresh saltwater he could still smell the Lagoon. Zevulun was so damn tired of them. What had happened to the Lagoon he had come across when he first returned to the islands? When Frey had sheltered himself and his sons and told them of the state of the islands, offered them a home but hadn’t forced them to stay? That hadn’t lasted long, had it? He wondered when the shift had happened.

But, he wasn’t interested in standing around thinking. Zevulun flicked his pale ears back and lunged forward, despite the ache of his still-healing bruises and tight muscles. He’d drive this damn bastard all the way back down to the shore. They still hadn’t found Vervain, but Zevulun had every reason to believe it was that Lagoon bachelor who was keeping her again. They wouldn’t get another damn daughter from him.
