GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
to put all that i amat the palm of your hands

“Oh- steady there!” Zevulun was saying softly to the young foal who’d just bumped right into him, only frowning briefly at the realization that this was not one of the Prairie’s little hoodlums that he knew. Still, ever the nurturer, especially after years upon years of raising his own children, Zevulun reached gently out to help steady the boy. He tucked his chin back and offered a patient, kind smile.

He’d always loved children, even those that were not his own; their company was refreshing.

This boy smelled of a neighbor, the Forest, and there was some familiarity in his features that had Zevulun already thinking he’d connected some form of dots in his head. “You’re a bit away from home, hm?” He remarked, voice warm. His head cocked briefly to the side and he glanced off behind the boy, wondering if anyone else had trailed him here or if he’d come all by himself. It wouldn’t be too hard to find one of his many children or grandchildren, or just the children of the other scattered family bands in the Prairie, to offer the boy more appropriate company.

“Quite brave,” Zevulun added with another grin, glacial blue eyes snapping back to the colt’s face. “What is your name?”
