Helios. Lucifer felt that name tickle his tongue as the sour taste of anger and resentment tore through him. Flame bright eyes narrowed on the Arabian as he came closer, but no words left his lips as the stallion of the Dunes came closer and closer from his call. Lucifer felt something shift in the air, as if two leads meeting in one spot could lead to war or harmony. He knew which he would take, but that did not mean Helios would also choose the same actions.


“I was busy with other matters at that time.” Lucifer did not bring up what he had done in the Peak or how he had roamed the islands. That was all a blur to him, but in many ways it was water color in his memory. Lucifer tilted his head when Helios spoke again, but the smile that crawled upon his face was not one of sorrow or forgiveness. Instead, it was one of thought and danger, something that should not be able to mark a horse's face and yet Lucifer felt that burning desire to hunt ignite in his breast as he stared Helios right in the eyes.


“Seems to me you could not hold up your end of the deal, no?” Lucifer may have taken more time to come on his end, but he had not just let Romaro succumb to death either. Instead, Helios had that on his plate and it had the black stallion's head tilting to the side as he thought. “I wonder Helios, what would you give for more peace or would you rather we duel some more? Daffodil is part of the Lagoon and there are many more horses here that would bring my home life.” Lucifer did not let out the fact he owned the Ridge now, wanting Helios to think he still lived in the bog. It would be a good mask for a while, but in due time he would let it all come out of the woodwork as he built an empire of something darker and more black than the Lagoon.
