Re(8): Bob-FM TO KC

I would have to disagree though. Back in the early days of the Adult Hits/Variety formats, (Jack/Bob FMs) They said the same things about consistency in playlists, limited listenership, and iPods and Satellite Radio as alternatives to radio for deeper playlists. Jack FM coming to the states and now in every other market, was a game changer for the radio formula. I believe the same can be said for my idea of a Jack FM style Alternative station for larger markets. Especially for markets that do not have an Alternative station like here, Baltimore, Boston, or New York. Cities with large youth to young adult audiences looking for something to make them engage in radio again. At the same time throw in some throwbacks and nods to earlier decades to get the older generations to tune in. Add some engaging DJs, creative contests that are local, and some outstanding imaging, and you have a recipe that can generate interest in the radio dial once again. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel again, but at least bring some life back to the dial again. Maybe I’m just being an optimist, but I believe it can work!
