GUIDELINES
common sense, really
i. the Prairie stands as a symbol of peace and prosperity among the islands
ii. anyone is welcome to live here so long as they do not bring harm to the Prairie or any of it's residents
iii. adventure and exploration is not only allowed, but encouraged! residents are asked to use their better judgement and not travel to places that could bring them harm
iv. the head of the prairie has final say in all prairie matters. the secondary and third positions are not able to be challenged for and are selected by the head
v. the guardians take on a more active role in the prairie; they must protect the inhabitants of the prairie and go on patrols of the prairie borderlines and shore. they can welcome strangers to the prairie and invite anyone to live here, though they must inform one of the leaders of any newcomers or visitors
give me darkness when I'm dreaming;

Some days pass before Arroyo makes the swim from Atlantis to Luthien. The bruise across his chest is deep and will take time to heal, but he no longer feels as stiff as he did those first few mornings following his battle with Lucifer. The salty sea seems to ease his aching muscles, though the edges of the bite wound on his back sting (muscles twitching as if at a fly). He may have succeeded in uprooting the red-eyed stallion from the Ridge, but Arroyo is under no illusion that he wasn't lucky. One misjudgment, one misstep, could have ended his existence that day.

The red dun sighs heavily, pushing the weight of future consequences out of his mind as he arrives on the Prairie shores. He calls out to his family, eagerly listening for a response.

Luthien had been home to him at one time. When he was still quite young and freshly arrived on the Islands, Zevulun had walked with him in the Savanna. Arroyo is unaware that Zevulun had faced grave injury attempting to visit him in the Thicket, though the scars and the limp did not go unnoticed at their reunion. Still, the pale stallion had allowed Arroyo's family to stay here while Arroyo sought out a place for them on Atlantis. He is thankful to call Zevulun a friend.

Soon enough, Naoise' head pops up from behind a rolling hill, eyes bright with excitement. The colt whinnies and Arroyo calls back, breaking into a bounding stride to greet his son and those who are with him.
