Fell x Corvette

"Wait, really?" She asked eagerly, brightening even more. The name he gave wasn't familiar to her, but that wasn't necessarily surprising. Corvair didn't even know the names of all of her siblings, so she couldn't really hold it against her mother for not telling her that she had an uncle right next door. The stallion even gave his name the same way that her momma did, which only added further credence to his story.

"That's amazing - I'm Corvair de Fell." Which was something she hadn't said aloud to anyone since she'd been a very young girl, just learning about her own family history. Her tail brushed across her hocks and she peered behind the charming spotted stallion. "Is he here? Maybe it's silly…" she trailed off, brow furrowing. The idea had only just occurred to her and she had no idea if it would work at all, but she hated seeing her mother sad, and since she couldn't really do anything about bringing Fell back, maybe she could instead bring a little piece of her family back to her.

"Do you think maybe he would come and speak to my mom? My dad left a while ago and, I dunno. She's just not the same." The young mare frowned, peering up at the stallion in the hopes that he might magically be able to produce the other stallion. "I mean not right now!" She hastened to add, her cheeks warm again. "Just… sometime? Maybe he could tell more stories about our family? I like knowing that my family has been here for generations," she said wistfully, dropping her muzzle briefly to the ground before peering out toward the rest of the herd, her own brow furrowed slightly.

"Maybe that's silly, sorry. I don't mean to be so weird." She spoke honestly, turning her gaze back to Nicodemus. She just wanted to feel connected to him, to the land, to something tangible. The islands here sang with a life and a history that she imagined few ever came to know. Her mother was full of stories but most of the time no one else knew what she was talking about. The idea that she had stumbled upon a whole extended family that knew of the figures from her mother's stories was beyond exciting.
