Once he knew the were asleep he head further inland to check on the herd. He said goodnight to all three of his daughters, their mothers, and checked on his new granddaughters. Even in the last few days they all had grown. Once he was finished he walked to the far border and patrolled until he felt it was clear enough to move on. Finally, it was time for sleep.

Nico moves through the darkness until he had returned to the spot Raini slept. Just as he promised he kept to where he could see them. He still kept distance for their privacy and so he was also closer to the herd in case something happened. It took awhile, but he finally drifted to sleep some time around midnight. He never truly slept soundly with a whole herd to watch over. He trusted Parvati and his mother's fighting skills to keep them safe, but he couldn't help but worry.

It was barely light out when a sound nearby flips his eyes open. "Where do you think you're going?" His eyes close again before he yawns. He stretches out his front legs as his eyes open again to find the colt. "You don't know this place yet. Not safe to wander until you do." There was still so much to teach him, but at least here he would have friends to learn with.
