Rules

• The Lagoon is where homeless stallions come to live as a brotherhood. Mares may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Soldiers keep mainly to fighting, Thieves keep mainly to raiding, and Associates may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Marauder or Boss for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Boss maintains order within the Lagoon and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Lagoon works on the Rules page.

• Upon election, the Boss can issue a rule for members to follow during their tenure. It is up to leadership to enforce.

all i ever wanted was the world

The tobiano's dark-rimmed ears flicked at what felt like an obligatory comment about their newest addition to the Lagoon. She couldn't fault him for that. After all, the mare had been surprised he said 'yes' to seeing their son in the first place. Vogue felt the painted stallion pull away from her but did not move to follow him immediately. Her eyes were still on the spot where Khovaire lay slumbering. 'So do you.'

This drew her attention from the boy. Vogue turned her head to look at the Marauder side-long for a moment, the crest of her neck arching exotically. Briefly, her contrived neutral veneer cracked and the trinket smiled. It was a sliver of the smiles she used to wear, tentative but pleased. Her vanity preened somewhere beneath the guard she tried to keep up. Then, as quickly and quietly as it appeared, the expression smoothed away.

The Saddlebred observed as he nodded toward the water nearby and offered to watch their son. She hesitated, feeling some push of anxiety at leaving her son now. Khyber, though, Vogue didn't think would harm his own progeny. Or at least he hadn't displayed that manner of behavior in front of her. So, with a look that contained uncertainty and gratitude, the mare nodded compliantly. "Thank you," she murmured before heading toward the patch of fresh water nearby.
