He was surprised he slept at all. The deal he was about to make was looming heavy on his heart, but so was everything else. The only reason he slept at all was probably from pure exhaustion. Two fights in one day, the heaviness of his sadness, and the weight of his rage. Then the pacing after leaving Hymn to rest for the journey to Paradise come morning. He wanted the sun to be up right then, but before he knew what was happening heavy eyes had closed. He awoke to the birds loudly chirping overhead.

Muscles ached as he stretches carefully before heading to fund Hymn. "It is time." He says softly then heads to the beach where they would depart the Inlet. It was here that Tino comes rushing towards him. The terror is his eyes only made Nico feel worse as he turns to face the panicked colt. Tino knew his mother was gone. How could he not? They never spent this much time apart especially not a whole night. He had told Parvati to care for the colt while his mother was away, but he hadn't checked to see if she found him.

"She did not leave you Tino." He says softly with eyes drifting away. "A stallion came upon our shore yesterday and took her." The words were hard to admit. He had promised Raini safety, promised both of them. Nico looks back at Tino. "I stole one of his mares and I am now heading to his home to get Raini back." He knew Tino's history of running off. "Please dont run off. Your mother would hate to know something happened to you too." It was hard to explain to someone so young.

"I will bring her back home even if I have to fight this stallion again. Please Tino, stay here with my sister Parvati. She is very strong and knows what she is doing." Parvati was stronger than him. She had defended this Inlet plenty before passing it over to him. He just needed to settle Tino enough so they could go get Raini back. Hopefully Annubis would take his deal.
