Heard this the other day (re the HRC/Kamala discussion below) Dems havent had a real primary since 2008 - seventeen years

Obama�s second term obviously had no primary. The 2016 race featured the DNC massively intervening to push out Bernie and save Hillary, the 2020 race again had the DNC intervening for Biden after he�d lost the first three primaries and Caucasus es, and the 2024 had no primary at all.

The point was that as far as Dem voters are concerned it�s been almost two decades since the candidate was actually democratically selected. Might explain the lack of enthusiasm.

This is poppycock. The DNC didn't do shit in 2020. A few candidates banded together to stop Sanders's momentum, but there were no DNC leaders puppeteering the entire thing, because the DNC (and the RNC) are toothless organizations that have no power in and of themselves.
