Pan was not the only one he was thinking about. He thought about what might become of Cholena outside of his watchful eye and of the growing fillies in the Lagoon. Some of them were becoming grown mare's for the others to pray on. Maybe it was this thinking that has cause doubt in his abilities. That wasn't possible. It was only recently that he has began to think like this. He was ruthless before, rude and mean. He treated them all terribly and it was only Pan who has been able to show him the gentleness of love.

He was afraid to let the others see, but they would. None of his brother's were stupid. They would see the way he looks at her and soon they would know she carries his child. He only worries what may become of their child if it was a girl. A colt could survive here, but a girl may be exploited. Abused, traded, you name it. It was one of his heaviest worries amongst the looming election. Even though he has brought a new member into the brotherhood it would not matter. They did not see him the way he had always looked at them.

His status had left with Peyote. His closeness with Garmr had been gone for a long time. Quickly replaced by Khyber who was a newbie at the time he assisted in helping Garmr rise into power and chase away Nahawi. Maybe he could replace the bond with the new recruit under his wing. Could he do this at the same time as protect Pan and his unborn? His green gaze turns to look to Pan as he watches her from a distance. He did not always want to be in her space. It would only raise the red flags to the brothers in their midst.
