Everyone wants to lead an extraordinary life Posted on August 31, 2025 at 03:53:24 PM by Augustus
He accepts her apology with ease. There wasn't a reason for him not to considering they were strangers. He couldn't say he would have been this kind if the roles were reversed. He may not have any physical disabilities, but his mental state was sometimes enough to even alert his father. He understood momentary snaps at those in the near by phacinity. Aug has done it himself, though only to his close family members.
He doesn't dwell on the thoughts as he saddles up next to Addison to guide her forward. Her soft voice acknowledges his touch was alright as they take yhe first few steps together. Everyone seems well until she suddenly stops. Her voice is shaken and her eyes wide. He could even feel the difference in her breathing being this close. His head shook lightly, not enough to hit her since they were side by side.
"No, no," He says trying to backtrack whatever it was he said that scares her. He pauses for a moment to think what may be wrong. Water...did she think they were leaving the Inlet? Or crossing a stream? "I, uh, maybe meadow was the wrong term." He scrambles to back track. "We wont leave the Inlet. I just meant the open part of our land where it is easier to graze. It has no trees." Meadow, valley, what was the right word? He has heard different terms.
"We dont need to go to any water unless your thirsty." He adds wondering if she needs a drink. With her reaction he assumes she means to avoid bodies of water. Aug sighs with eyes turning to glance her direction. To see if her reaction has settled or if she was second guessing following his lead. Father was much better at this kind of thing than he was.
