The battle of Tier 1 vs Tier 2 is brewing, and the EB knows it. 15 years ago when the idea was tossed around for Tier 2, many knew the day of reckoning would eventually arrive. I“They won’t miss something they never had.” Same idea with prolonging EMT pay for new hires.
Why do you think it took this long for the tier 2 “fixes”? Because now they have people involved with the union attempting to right the wrongs of the past. And it’s scaring a lot of the old timers.
Whatever the reason, Tier 2 guys are front and center about lifting residency. Maybe it’s in line with their other character faults about not “toeing the line” and “following orders.” But I for one welcome our Tier 2 members into the discussion Replies:
