Shoot the arrow straight Posted on September 20, 2025 at 08:51:58 AM by Assassin
Assassin hated seeing the youngsters fear, even though it was expected. He knew his size would most likely scare this small foal but he could do nothing about that other than have have patience, which he would. He watched the frightened foal jump up in fear easy little one, I won’t harm you he said softly, his gaze flicking around at the colt’s call, waiting to see if a mare would appear.
He sighed, his focus returning to the small foal, closing his eyes briefly at the answer he’d be dreading. The foal was an orphan, alone and frightened. He considered what to do next, how much he could help would depend on the foals age and weather he still required mothers milk. He kept his distance, not wanting to scare him any more that he already was, he would prefer the foal to come to him on his own terms than approach the frightened foal.
What’s your name little one? he asked gently, he wanted to try and gain the boys trust if he could. You must be tired, being on your own must be frightening. I can’t help with any milk for you but I could be a friend? He offered, he wanted to help the foal but he also wanted the colt to want his help, he’d never force it. I could also help with protection, give you a chance to rest properly he said, still having not moved.
