Watching Nyimara change was like a knife to her chest. She felt true fear the moment her mistress gave birth to the twins. This last time was unlike the rest where age had really shown on the Desert Queen. For the first time K�ra believed she would lose her. Not in the romantic sense as she has felt before, but actually lose her to the earth. It was a fear unlike anything she has felt before.

It also reminds her why she has elected to only have the one child. Sigrdrifa was their love child, born of Nyimara's blood relative and herself. She would be the only living memory of their relationship. K�ra always kept her close, but lately the girl has been talking about seeing the world. At least seeing another island or experiencing another herd.

It was something she had to talk to Nyimara about. Their child was no foal anymore. She was a grown mare was years watching her mother's roam the Desert. Maybe it was time she moved on to gain more knowledge. Stormy eyes rise as K�ra catches a glimpse of Nyimara in the distance. She looks much better, to her delight, so she thinks now would be a good time to chat. The grey mare calls to her before picking up speed to reach her Queen.

"Mistress," She coos as she bows her head to her leader. Her legs slow as she comes to a stop close to her lover's body. K�ra reaches out her muzzle in greeting.
