Mazikeen is pleased to see that he is receptive to her presence, his ears perked forward and his teeth bared in a smile. Slowly she takes stock of him, her eyes roaming across the night-black expanse of his pelt, littered with a constellation of scars. He is surely a specimen to behold, she thinks, as she comes to a stop nearby and quips casually about the trouble of children.
'Children are an anomaly I doubt anyone will understand,' he replies. Mazikeen hums in agreement, but otherwise stays silent. She is not prone to offering information about her family to a stranger, however intriguing they may be. But there is truth in his words. Since reaching maturity she has beared several children of her own, and still she hasn't the faintest idea how their little brains work. Even Akkadian, so was similar to her in so many ways, remained an enigma. It was heartening to know she was not the only one who had such issues.
Mazikeen's ears flick forward when he speaks again. A low laugh rumbles from between her lips. "How very astute you are," she croons, the words dripping like saccharine syrup from her tongue. "Indeed, I decided to take a little trip away from home today. Every queen deserves a little me time now and again, after all." Amber eyes flick across the inky contours of his face, attempting to gauge his reaction to the scrap of information she has provided him. Flaunting her title is not something that comes naturally to Mazikeen, but something tells her his response will be promising - if not, at the very least, highly amusing.
"Mazikeen. Tell me, Lucifer," Mazikeen tests the feel of his name upon her tongue, her lips wrapping sensuously around each syllable, "where is it you have come from today? Surely you do not spend all your time in the Falls fighting with children." A serpentine smile slides across her mouth, a teasing glint sparking in the depths of her amber eyes.
