I’ve said this from the beginning in 2018 that this was a bad move for Ford and GM. It only takes one thing to tank the economy and the big three will be toast. That came with the pandemic. The price of everything went up and stayed there ever since, and they are kicking themselves for not having gas powered cheaper alternatives as a back up for when EVs are out of people’s price range. I bet the sales of vehicles like the Focus and the Cruze would be through the roof if they were still around. EV technology still isn’t perfected yet all these years later and the American auto industry is paying the price. If anything I feel bad for the auto workers who would still be on the job if there was not an abrupt break from gas powered sedans. Heck there would be more jobs created if gas powered sedans and hatchbacks were still manufactured along side an extended vehicle line up that would include EV’s , trucks and SUV’s. Most people can’t afford $50000-$75000 for a vehicle, but that’s just my observation on this subject. Replies:
