BTW, I lost a lot of weight years ago when I quit drinking those empty calories. No fat ankles here, I take it someone in you life has blood pressure issues? I never did because I have good insurance that pays most all my meds at zero copay. I have just one tier 3 which is overpriced and should come down if we get rid of YOUR dear leader! But I started getting employer contribution retirement once I bailed out of the media. Non profits are good to their staffs and I was surprised when I retired. It covers travel for us and the kids.
You used to brag how much better the money was in sales. Actually, the money's better in everything but studio/reporting work. But clearly, the performing crafts were much more fun because when the media calls, people open up their doors to you. I enjoyed being paid a salary to do field trips everwhere I wanted to go. My most exciting time was a couple trips down the holes of Wichita's Titan ICBMS back in the day. And then the Beechraft PR guy let me land a twin engine plane at MCI...Scary but fun. He wanted me to land at Jabara but it was no bigger than a two lane street so I said NO WAY, so we flew cross town to the big airport. That was a total rush! I did several trips during construction at Wolf Creek nuc plant at Burlington. My boss hated KG&E, wanted me to trash them but I coulldnt do that. The nuc plant was just way too cool. IT had delays in construction but they redesigned a lot after the 3 Mile Island meltdown. All great stories. Covering BTK's mischief was also fun for a reporter...I was sorry to be out of the market when they finally caught him. A mild mannered killer. Who knew?
Anyway, Jim, just know I'd have never traded my reporting work for your order taking career, didn't even give it a thought. Again, you should pipe down, you're way too young to be a sourpuss in your waning years but you've been that for a long time. Don't feel obligated to trash me every time you see I've written a post...it just puts you in a bad mood and that's poisonous--or is it the reverse for you? Does trashing me make you feel better about yourself? Trump does that all the time and no, he's definately NOT MY DEAR LEADER! MIne is anyone who's not a corporatist Republican!
