There was no reason for him to have come across the Badlands edge and into the Dunes. He should have stayed put where he belonged. Nahawi had taken the final step to his grave, knowing that the direction he was headed would be the end of everything. Yet, he couldn't find it in himself to stop. His broken hooves pushed through the sands and farther into the demon's lair until he finally found the black beast.

Watching the grey mare pound into Lucifer with push after push, Nahawi just continued forward at his steady walk. His one good eye softly blinked against the brightness of the sun. It was irritating him, but the once was man found himself not really caring. Instead, he rested a calculating eye on his nightmare as the sound of a cry entered his ears. Turning his head, Nahawi watched as the grey draft looked behind him. Turning again, Nahawi let out a breath at the stampeding mare headed his way.

Startled and a touch worried, Nahawi picked up into a broken trot. His body couldn't physically handle a run anymore and it showed as he stumbled the rest of the way down the dune. Hearing flesh smack together though, the red dun turned to look behind him once more. The sight he saw had his heart racing and a pained but happy sound escaping his lungs. Snapdragon was here, which was making him worry all the more considering what Lucifer had done to him and would probably do by association.

Shaking his head, Nahawi stood close to the grey draft as he watched his friend battle the other mare. It took a moment, but his head turned again, this time shocked into a statue as a carbon copy of himself rises from the distance and at the top of the dune. The red mare before him doesn't startle, but instead walks calmly down the dune and towards Lucifer, placing herself between the beast and the grey draft mare.

“What the fuck?”
