“Hmmm.” Caine hummed to himself, as bored in the Commons as he had been bored in the Lagoon. Nothing was happening. No fun seemed to be found or had. He was beginning to question why he had even joined the brotherhood. Their Boss wasn’t quite competent in his eyes, but maybe he was blind to what they could see?


Closing his green eyes as a yawn parted his jaws, Caine lazily smacked his lips afterwards before opening his eyes again. Just as he did, a familiar red pelt made their way out into the opening. Ears rising from their lazy splay to the side, he followed Tefnut’s movements that led her to a black mare he had somehow overlooked. Maybe it was the way she was tucked in the shadows, not bringing attention to herself?


The two began to converse, but Caine didn’t really see much change happening. Deciding he might try to make some entertainment for himself, even if they didn’t like it, he lazily prowled over to the two mares. A sly smile cutting across his lips, he let out a purposeful chuckle to announce his approach. “Surely you know by now, you don’t speak of the devil unless you want one of it’s demons to appear.” he said, referring to how they had spoken of the Lagoon.


“Hello again, gorgeous.” He greeted Tefnut. A far cry from how they had huddled together to keep from freezing to death on Tinuvel. Caine doubted he would be so warmly welcomed. “No need to be tense, I don’t plan to do anything malicious.” Yet. His green eyes turned to the black mare then, his ears tilting forward. “Have I missed the part where she invites you home yet?” he asked. “I’d hate to miss such an important moment as that. Especially since she never invited me home with her.”
