Raini had started to worry about her missing eldest. She knew Tino had gone towards the mainland a few days ago, she figured he’d just taken shelter there until the weather had passed. However now 3 days later and a trip to mainland herself with no sign of her son and her worry was turning into panic.
Her young son was stood with her I’m sure he’s fine mum, please try not to panic stormy said, attempting to comfort her, even as his own worry for his brother ate at him.
Raini paced near the shore line, all manner of thought of what could had happened flicked through her mind. He could have been attacked and be lying somewhere half dead, what if he’s drown? Got caught in the storm? Swept out to see?
Those images kept playing on repeat. Lifting her head she let out a call that was probably closer to a scream, calling for him as loud as she could, she’d happily keep calling until her voice ran out of sound if needed.
Stood near the shore her head dropped, before it curled round toward her son, letting out a shaky breathe as Stormy, her now two year son placed his head over hers in a gentle embrace, his eyes tracking around him, praying to see either the dark grey stallion who was the cause of all this, or his father.
