I needed to lose you (any) Posted on January 19, 2026 at 06:10:23 PM by Vaat
They finally did it. After much thought, they left their home to come here. Vaat was under a lot of stress, and Injaern supposedly had family here. His grandsire, Balor, lived here for a brief time before he died. Injaern lacked knowledge of him and only knew that he was a deadbeat dad. He knew his mother wasn't pleased, so he left the Lost Islands. Talk of his grandsire was taboo around his mom and him. Injaern would frown when that gets brought up.
They could have been a happier couple, but there were issues. They were trying to start a family, but recently learned Vaat is barren. The couple was upset about this, especially Vaat. Rumors about Vaat spread like wildfire, and it was only a matter of time before they reached someone of higher power. Vat, being nervous and stressed, suggested that they move to the lost islands. Injaern had a look on his face and hesitated on that thought. He deeply cared for her and didn't want to lose her. The stallion was in thinking mode while she was begging and begging. He finally gave in to her decision, and they both left.
They arrived at the beach that night, and Vaat noticed something wasn't right. She eyed Injaern and knew the issue was him. She couldn't go on like this; she didn't feel secure with him being fatherless. "Um... we have to talk right now.." She said in a serious voice. The stallion became confused. What's the issue now? Does she want to go somewhere else? "What's wrong"? He asked softly. "I'm sorry... this has been bothering me recently. I don't think we can go on like this anymore. I can't get pregnant, so you deserve to be happy with someone else. Start a family with somebody. I don't wanna burden you anymore. We can still be friends." She told him with watery eyes.
He gave her a serious glare and became speechless. Is she serious? After what they did to get here? A few minutes passed before he said something. He's brimming with mixed emotions. "I don't wanna be near you right now. Do not follow me."He said sternly and galloped off. Vaat spent the rest of the night and barely got any sleep. Every other hour, she woke up thinking about him. This was probably the most hurt he's been through. Finally, morning came, and her eyes felt so heavy from the tears and lack of sleep. The mare had no idea what to do next; she hadn't planned this far ahead. She was unsure whether to stay and wait for Injaern to return...hmm, he's probably not. Picking up scents left and right, she decided to walk around aimlessly. Replies: There have been no replies.
