Tefnut of the Bay
And the gasoline of my soul will come alive.
No reply came from the words Tefnut spoke. She found herself thankful that Rethe didn't rebuttal any of it or something else. The words had somewhat been meant and Tefnut would take them as she should. Anything that came from this was all she could ask for right now, even if her heart trembled in her chest and she found herself unsure. She would do the best she could with everything, especially if it meant making Rethe realize Tefnut hadn't meant to hurt her.
Being gentle with her movements, Tefnut managed to slide the flower into Rethe’s mane and get it to hold decently. Her blue eyes sparkled seeing the flower in the woman's mane, which slowly trickled into probably the kindest smile Tefnut had ever held upon her face. Even that little touch of her lips with a flower soothed something that had began to pace inside the red woman's breast. She did understand the burning she felt, but now it cooled and she found herself more mellow once more.
Pulling away once the flower was placed and Rethe spoke, the dun listened whole heartedly once more. As Rethe described a place, Tefnut felt something stir inside her gut that had her asking another question. “Would you… be willing to show me that place?”Tefnut liked looking from high places. Living in the Falls as a child, she had climbed to the top many times once she was healed and had giggled when Lucifer panicked. She couldn't go back there now, but maybe this place Rethe spoke of might give her a reason to start actually caring about the Bay as a home instead of a land she had to work.
