Hearing his name, Lucifer turned his head and slowed his forward movements. His head dipped towards Teagan as a gentle smile colored his lips. Unusually soft with this mare, he found himself relaxing with her just even showing him some attention. When her muzzle touched his own, he leaned into the small embrace before pulling back. At her question, the black demon thought for a moment before giving a slight shrug of his shoulders.

He wanted to tell her what was wrong, but at the same time he was worried? She was his lead mare, but for some reason he found himself holding back what was bothering him. In the past, he had never had someone to speak with about these issues. Times were different now of course, but he could not find it in himself to fully let go of what he was. He had changed for the better, but it was in a way much like that of a stack of cards. If one thing were to knock the stack over, he would revert back to what he had been in the Lagoon. He would turn into something that Teagan would not be safe around.

Letting out a sigh, the stallion looked at his hooves before looking back at her gaze. “I found my sister's mane via a chunk in my dead fathers teeth at the beach.” Nodding back the way he had come from, Lucifer eyed the distance for a moment. “And I have this feeling Nyimara will be coming back. For me or the Desert, I could not tell you.” Shifting his frame and letting his head turn back to Teagan, he gave her a sad smile. “I don’t think I can win another battle against her.” Nodding towards his shoulder, the draft rocked it. It had not healed correctly, but it was enough now that he could handle walking, trotting, and running on it. Swimming he could as well, but that was a lot more taxing than it had been in the past.

“I don’t want to fail anyone here, but I don’t think I got much more left in me without leading to damage I cant walk away from.”
