Speak of the Devil; (Nyimara)

Lucifer
And enter the game he creates.

He had not spoken to his herd, to his family… to anyone. Instead, Lucifer had made up his own mind a while back and now found himself once again on the banks of the Crossing island. He should stay away, avoid everyone here. He should not listen to the voices, to the urges, to the darkness. It was a bad idea, a horrible one… but the dark knight of Salem could no longer hold out. His body hurt, he was getting too hot all the time anymore, and his old injuries were at a stalemate. He was stronger because of the sands, but they were taking a toll in other ways.

Moving through the island and slowly finding his way to the Falls, Lucifer finds himself fading just slightly. His crimson eyes search the falling water for answers, knowing he would never get any. The memories of Tefnut being raised here cause his eyes to close, taking in the soft feeling they gave and just letting it roll over him. He had no reason to be here, but he knew he needed to be. It was why, as his head lowered, he flicked his ears slowly as the scent of someone he hated beyond reason came into the same area as him. If he were smart he would turn and bare his teeth, but instead, the dark male just drank slowly and let his eyes close, knowing that if this other horse came at him, he earned it.

If no strike was thrown, Lucifer would lift his head from the water and shift his stance to face her. If she struck, the male would do his best to dodge whatever she gave him. He would not fight back though, knowing deep in his dark heart that he would not soil the land of this place. He had raised his pride and joy here, watched her flourish. Now, it was a place he went to reminisce and enjoy some quiet time. After everything would be decided by the others actions though, he would slowly shake his head and let out a deep breath.

“Nyimara. I understand we have a bad history… but I do have something I wish to bring to your attention.” Lucky or unlucky, Lucifer found probably the only equine that could take the Dunes from him, be it now or later. He would never win every fight, but if he did something of his own choice… he would not hate himself much. Tilting his head though, the demon king eyed Nyimara quietly. “Care to listen?”
