Tefnut
So I can quench your thirst.
I AM Tefnut.
She watched, like always. Her pale eyes scanned the stallion as he came closer, giving her time to force herself to hold everything in. She knew who it was, just by the white cap he wore upon his bulkier face. Time had changed that, that she knew. However, faced with Caine after seasons of not seeing him, Tefnut could hardly recall who he had been. No longer were they spindly, long legged youngsters. Honestly, she was a bit older than him, but even back then she had been leaner. Now though, she herself was bulkier and held her own battle scars.
“Caine.” Her voice came, floating on the wind towards him before she dipped her head slowly. Her red mane and tail softly twisted in the breeze that drug her scent off to lord knew where. She was forcing herself not to crumble, even if it was plain as day she was far from okay. Letting out a breath though, the mare slightly tilted her head as her mind began to start fully go online. He stank, that was the first thing she fully registered. The bog was seeping into his scent, which made her nostrils wrinkle back. She did not hate Caine, but she was not one for that place. She had chosen battles there before, but she knew enough from the one she met before that the bog was an infected wound that would never heal.
Stepping forward, she lifted her head up and perked her ears. “What has brought you to the Bay?”
