Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Leoniah attempted to find the strength to get up after only seconds down...only to find there was a massive dragon holding her down. Her back burned horribly and now it being covered in blisters would come and they would be painful. But none of that mattered as long as she had to save her pups. From the corner of her eye she saw Mugen...and wanted to get to him...she reached her paw out to him her eldest son with gashes on his chest. The pain was dizzying she could have been imagining it...plus his crushing weight took her breath. "Aijin..." she called going in and out of conciseness, "Kuroha, why" she said with the last of her breath as she fainted from exhaustion and pain. She looked all the part of dead as she lay not breathing...she was still alive only barely.

"Aijin!" yelled Kin...he didn't see the other pups she couldn't leave her brother, "Help Mugen out of the way!" refusing to leave Kiyoko's side. But having to franticly look for the two adopted pups...what a way to be introduced to your new family. Kin wanted to help but couldn't see them in the steam...he only hoped beyond hope that they found each other and hid safely somewhere. He knew that Akemi wouldn't move and the two were strong, "I'm going to find the adopted...please keep her safe" he whispered as he moved walked away from them. He found the two on some rocks...out of the way but with the dragons focus on his second younger sister he could get them to a safe hiding place, "Hey!" he whispered he'd found a hole that was out of sight, "In here you two can hide and if you run off then the whole thing would be in vain...if she dies we are going to need each other." he admitted knowing that even if Akira hated her family she would still need them in the end. "Get in!" he said with the intentions of covering the hole with a rock large enough to look like it belonged but light enough for them to move later.

Leoniah lay beyond conciseness as she watched the last several months of her life pass her by. Meeting him...loving him...then losing him. Having them, loving them...now losing them. There was more to this than what she was seeing...there had to be. She immediately opened her eyes...she wouldn't give up. She'd been out for several minutes and suddenly the pain was gone from her mind. She curled under Atma's grasp and found the tender flesh of his palms...She bit and clawed into it as hard and fearlessly as she could...she had to get to them. All of them she had to get to them.

Kiyoko watched the on goings...she watched the dragon lay his grasp on her mother. She gasped silently to herself she had to hold out...paw still on the egg. She narrowed her glare at Atma...it was a physical challenge...who would care first. Kiyoko cared but she knew the loss of one life wasn't as great as the loss of nine lives...now one more with Polera. The pup held strong,"One more time dragon...Stop your rampage or egg crushed"
