The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

From the first instant he entered, he knew something was off, but he let it drift distant, to the back to his mind. While he welcomed wolves into the terra, unaware of the events brooding, he got fidgety, anxious, but he passed it off as just simply wanting to be with Kimani once more. He was speaking with Jewel’s daughter, a teen named Jena, just getting to know the pack members when his hackles froze in midair. A snarl ripped from his throat as the unmistakable scent of the blood of his now family and a bloody intruding lynx. A fleeting expression was got the teen got and he took off, though from that simple glare, he had told her to remain partly where she was, to stay away from him and where he was going. She dare not disobey. He powered though now, almost familiar terra and the scents had gotten stronger. A movement above his head made him sharply dig his heels in and change direction, as much as it left a strong burn in his soul, he powered away from Kimani and the others, following. Leaping logs without so much as a falter, destruction of bushes to shreds by charging through them, he barely felt the thorns stuck on him, in him and the light scratches on his face. Now he came to the border, still galloping, biding his time, the tree’s thinned and he saw his chance as the cat leapt down to leave, it had been unconvinced by not getting a feed. It turned sharply, a loud coughing growl escaping its throat, yet at the same time; it licked its ivory and tan whiskers. It thought it could still win a meal.

Plague slid to a halt metres from it and it started circles around him, he never left his guard unbroken and it leapt up, onto a tree and pushed off midway up its truck to try and snap his back for an easy, no fuss meal. Plague was having none of it, he turned to run and at the same time, saw that would have deadly consequence. Instead he flipped himself roughly onto his back and lowered his legs, coiled like springs. As it simply dropped squarely onto him, as he felt his paws collide with the mottled, ugly chest, he kicked his legs upward, though the lynx weighed more than he anticipated and he could only push it off him without leaving a mark. It quickly got to his feet and lunged at his back, which was turned to it, but at the simple sound of it leaving the forest floor outside his lands, he spun and had his jaws wide. Its furry chest colliding into them, driving them deep into its chest, he quickly applied pressure as the Lynx sunk its teeth into the skin of his head and shredded his back. He heard a cracking sound and blood sprayed from his lips, covering his features, so he had to close his eyes. He simply stood there as it clawed at him, getting slower, weaker and at the same time, gurgling, coughing and rasping, it was drowning in its own god damned blood. He tensed his jaws and did not let go as its struggles became more pathetic and frantic. He held it there for at least five minutes after it moved no more, pure hate in his eyes. He smiled as he let its heavily furred pelt fall to the floor, a wary eye on it, he revealed in the fact he had probably killed more than one lynx tonight.

He licked at his wounds, healing them more than cleaning them; still, he’d have to let someone else to them on his back where he could not reach and it hurt like hell to clean anything now anyway. Still, he wasn’t a wuss and simply bore the pain, he knew others would still need help and this was all the time he had for a cure. With a light grunt he gripped the corpse and strangely dragged it into the pack lands once more, it wouldn’t keep lynx away wherever it was and he knew they would all feel better if they knew at last this fowl hell cat wasn’t going to return He dragged it quickly, the thought of his pack members, his family and above all, Kimani needing him drove him on more than his pure strength and size ever could. Soon he was pushing through the bush and spotted his family, his banner low he dragged the carcass up to them, but left it a good distance away, even when dead, he didn’t want any of them near it. Ever. He assessed the situation silently, staring at Kimani the most, just simply checking she was okay, he would have to go and kill something else if she weren’t. He padded over to the unconscious male and looked him over silently, then spoke up to Firestorm, his voice low and calm, she was getting much too worked up and he spoke pleasantly, trying to calm her down. He observed the male as he spoke to her, hearing Kimani’s, then her sister’s words. He nodded.

Firestorm, keep him warm until Xavior gets here.

With things calming, he padded over and gave Kimani a quick nuzzle, just reassured she wasn’t hurt. Then spoke up, his voice determined.

I would clean her wounds Kimani, I know the basics of healing, but I don’t think it is the best time to introduce me.

He looked to Kimani’s sister and determinedly, but calmly padded over, making sure she could see him clearly. Calmly closing the distance until he stood a couple of metres from her and the pup curled at her belly, who looked unhurt, thank fenris. He simply observed her wounds, carefully calculating and measuring in his mind. He turned back to Kimani and shrugged slightly, then curled up on the closest side to Beowulf. He began cleaning his wounds tenderly, a somewhat bloody limb slung over his back where it as mostly uninjured, if he awoke, he would only feel pain and a strange wolf. Plague looked back to Kimani and then continued cleaning the wounds; she had told him that Saw Tooth had the most drama going on, so hell, he wasn’t too sure about venturing into that hell hole.
