During the day, sentries guard the sleeping. When the sky is dark and the moon dances with the stars, this is when the real fun begins. Munashii Gekko's forest is the only haunt where you can find your local misfits all in one place. A land of the forbidden and forgotten, a place that is riddled with dangers of a whole different kind. The wolves here have long misplaced their rightful minds, and now live like creatures damned to prowl and lurk through the night. It's easy to lose yourself here, sanity was sure to fade away and wither; there was never anything normal about this nefarious nest. The silent threats that whispered in the breeze were enough to deter even the largest of demons around. It was not strength nor wit that ensured your survival here with Eric, and challengers would be torn down with a morose lethality - there was nothing left in his cold blue eyes that promised mercy to anyone who dared to overstep their worth. So, would you give up the sun for the moon and stars? Do you have enough vigor to become a well regarded sentry? - Put on a game face to step up and pass the sepia king's test or turn and leave before he catches your scent. You never know who wants to snack on your delicious blood in this forest.

Her Arms Were All Twisted

Almost done with it. : )Roselyn could tell by the way this brute kept his composure through her display of submission that he was going to be a good alpha. Swan always gloated and rubbed it in her face, but that was not the way to be a good dominant. Her snowy sister yearned to hold the power an alpha had, but she had not the faintest idea how to be one. True alphas showed respect to those who submitted to them, and for this male’s respect she was grateful. It was a strange feeling for her submission to be followed with nothing but silence. It wasn’t uncomfortable, just a kind of thoughtful, natural silence. The ancient act that had just been performed didn’t need words to accompany it, in the world of wolves body language often spoke louder then words.

The silence lasted only a moment or two, and when he broke it an almost unnoticeable flinch claimed her body. It was more of a reflex from the countless times Swan had chided her for being such a stupid coward after she’d submitted. But really, that’s all she was: a coward. The only thing her sister got wrong was the stupid part. Roselyn was a coward not because she was stupid, but because she was smart enough to know that she’d get her ass handed to her if she was anything but. She was what would be considered the runt of the litter, though she was no smaller then average. Rather, it was her sister that was larger then average. Despite thinking herself slim and beautiful, Swan had a rather tough looking build, and she was much bulkier then she wished. Bulky enough to overpower Rose if she acted up. She did what she had to do to survive.

Because that’s all you’re doing, surviving.

Truer words and never been spoken, er, thought. She didn’t live each day trying to enjoy it, she lived it trying to survive. Blossom Forest provided her with a little reprieve from that, though. She would have her fun, that much was certain. Her chocolate optics focused on him once more as he began speaking. His phrases were twisted in that kind of smart, witty fashion she so adored. A small, knowing smile spread across her black lips, and her tail wagged slowly behind her. She was going to enjoy conversing with this male, and she hoped his sister would be interesting as well.

Before she could say anything else, a howl cut through the night air. She rose as Angel nodded in the direction the call came from. It had been his sister, Paranoia, that much she was sure of. His words were polite, and it made her smile grow. The only other wolf to show her similar politeness had been Ater, on the few fleeting exchanges they had without Swan’s presence. Roselyn was starting to like this pack more and more.

She held her tongue as she followed behind him, deciding it would be better to introduce herself with everyone around then to have to speak her name over and over again. Her body moved with a light bounce as she trotted behind the white male, moving quietly through her new pack’s land. A rare emotion flooded through her: excitement. She was excited to meet the other members, and perhaps prove to herself that she was capable of making relationships outside of Swan. It was a wonderful feeling, and for a moment she completely forgot about her siblings and the pressure brought along with them.

As they approached the clearing, she hung back in the shadows as Angel moved into the clearing. She watched him interact with a white female, the scent of her clearly marking him as her brother. Envy moved through her now, but it quickly passed as more wolves entered the clearing. Some had been welcomed already, like a pup and her mother, and two males who entered the clearing together. Others made it clear that they were waiting welcome, and she watched them curiously. New members had been a rare thing in Ater’s pack, due to the secluded nature of the territory, so this was something she didn’t have much experience with.

Finally she decided she’d sat in the dark long enough, and that there weren’t any surprises coming her way. Always overly cautious, she was. She stepped into the moonlight slowly, glancing around at the others as she entered. Her hips swayed with a subtle seductiveness that had been passed down from her mother. Her steps were dainty, matching her petite form, and her coat shone prettily in the pale moonlight. She sat down, looking pointedly at Angel.

”My name is Roselyn, and I am most grateful for you welcoming me into your pack. It is a pleasure to meet the both of you.”

Her ears had tilted back and she lowered her head in submission as she nodded at Paranoia. If she looked a little awkward, it’s because she was quite nervous being amongst so many strangers. One male, even if he was the alpha, she could handle, but it was hard being among so many new wolves without having Swan there for support; even if she was horrid to her, Roselyn had always felt some kind of comfort when her sister sat beside her. But it was time for her to grow up and to grow a spine, even if it meant being quite uncomfortable at first. She’d get used to it, and eventually she’d form bonds with the wolves sitting around her.
